Preparing your cast-iron cookware

Seasoning your cast iron is essential to protect it, prevent food from sticking, and ensure it lasts for years.

Step-by-step:

  1. Wash thoroughly.
  2. Dry over heat and add some salt.
  3. Stir until dark (about 10 min).
  4. Discard the salt carefully and rinse with hot water.
  5. Coat with a thin layer of oil and heat at maximum temperature (oven or open fire).Repeat several times until the surface is smooth and non-sticky.

Your cast iron is now ready to use!

Care instructions
  • Wash after each use (baking soda & sponge recommended).
  • Always dry thoroughly — never leave wet.
  • Apply a thin coat of oil after cleaning.
  • The more you use it, the better the natural seasoning layer becomes.
  • Don’t store food inside for long periods.

If rust appears, simply scrub it off and reseason with oil.
